  Dave was recommended by a friend of my husband. He has been doing our taxes for the last 5 years. His attitude has always been off putting but we dealt with it bc we believed he was doing a decent job. This year, half of our return was intercepted by the government. We have no idea why. We do not have federal loans or back child support etc. We called to question Dave and he said we should receive a letter from the government in a few weeks. That has not happened. Basically we are left to assume that there was an issue with a previous years return (most likely processed by Dave). When we questioned him about this possibility his response was “that’s not my job”. That’s great. With no idea what has happened to our return and with the out right refusal to help from Dave, we are reporting him to the IRS and contacting the Missouri Board of Accountancy. Dave, If you made a little effort and didn’t treat people like an inconvenience- you would save yourself some huge headaches.
